Shopify Inbox includes an optional AI agent as well as staff conversations. The decision is whether its native experience covers your buying journey, or whether your products call for more configured guidance.
Shopify product discovery, approved attributes, comparisons, and configured buying tools.
Native Shopify conversations with an opt-in AI agent, catalog knowledge, and personalized recommendations for shoppers signed in with Shop.
Actions and workflow
Package and fixed-roll calculations, curated pairings, and confirmed cart actions implemented in development.
Staff can share product links and discount codes. The documentation reviewed does not establish an equivalent package-coverage workflow.
Team experience
Staff handoff, same-conversation replies, assignment, and internal notes implemented in development.
Staff can manage conversations on desktop and mobile.
Availability
In development. Early-access onboarding planned; external channels need connected-account acceptance.
Publicly offered product. Verify current plans and feature eligibility with the provider.
WHEN SHOPERIZE MAY FIT
A more configured way to buy.
Evaluate Shoperize when the path to a cart includes approved product attributes, pack sizes, or calculations. Its development implementation combines those steps with shopper confirmation; public onboarding is still planned.
WHEN SHOPIFY INBOX MAY FIT
Start native. Then test the buying details.
Start with Inbox if you want Shopify-native conversations and its documented AI assistance meets your requirements. Test the native option against real shopper questions before adding another product.
SEE IT IN PRACTICE
A product link is only the first step.
“My room is 12 × 10 feet. How many boxes of this flooring do I need?”
Our fictional demo uses 24 square feet per box and a 10% waste allowance. That produces 132 square feet of required coverage and six whole boxes. Use this as an acceptance test for either tool, rather than assuming a fluent answer means the calculation is right.
Does it ask for missing dimensions and units?
Does it apply the product’s actual coverage and your waste rule?
Does it show the quantity before asking to change the cart?
Only if the workflow you need is not adequately covered. Document a few unsuccessful shopping journeys first. A configured assistant has to earn its place through better handling of those journeys, not simply by adding another chat widget.
